MSSC STRUGGLE REPORT (04-04-09/10)
Before yesterday we had a small but powerful rally in front of National Human Right Commission (near City Hall). During the rally Anwar, Shohag Radika, Sonia and Kim Hyeok (KCTU) handed over a protest petition against the deportation of Samar and the possibly planned deportation from K.B., Gupta and Haq. Our representatives also were invited by some staff members for a discussion, but after all just the talk with them was just nonsense, because of ¡°Yes, yes, we will see what we can do¡¦¡± – only empty words!
In the evening after the delicious supper Struggle and Rice (ÅõÀï°ú ¹ä) cooked for us one representative of MSSC joined the struggle rally of disabled people in front of Seyong Center near Gwanghwamun. Now since 17 days they are protesting against government¡¯s policy of oppression against their activities (yeah, right, one more reason not to defend this f****** gov¡¯t!). In the night to yesterday (Saturday) 40 people slept there (by the way: the more people, the more dangerously it is for them because of riot cops presence there). At least 200 cops were in readiness just around the corner.
After the rally – back in Myeong-dong - a nice get-together in the tent of struggling construction workers unionists took place until the early morning.
Yesterday in the afternoon some members of MSSC made propaganda in Daehak-no¡¯s Marronier Park while one representative joined the rally of government employees and teachers in front of Seyong Center, but actually it was more a event to support Democratic Labor Party (¹ÎÁֳ뵿´ç). There the atmosphere was a little strange, because left the center, right police busses, behind large forces of riot cop unit no 1002, in front 1001 (trained to kill just with their f****** shields!) and the demonstrators (maximum 500) in the middle. Not really nice atmosphere, not at all!
Meanwhile in front of Seoul stn disabled activists were fighting for their rights for to be accepted as human beings. Together with solidarity groups and a document movie maker () they had to fight against subway ¡°security¡±.
Back on Seyong Center: very funny (?) here, one Korean comrade collected signatures against the comments of Kim Yong-seo (±è¿ë¼, professor on Ehwa Univ.) about the danger of a ¡°coup d¡¯etat¡± by ¡°pro-North forces¡±. Beside the fact that it is only a idea of an old reactionary bastard (and so completely to ignore, because only old Chosun Ilbo readers take this comments serious, everyone else just is laughing about this bull shit) some days before we¡¯d to learn that the supporters of Roh have also a kind of paranoia: they just believe that behind all what is going on now here (impeachment¡¦) the US administration is staying.
In this situation we should not spend our energy in stuff like that, just we should focus our fight, for example, to the case of troop dispatching, because here the daily news or the "nice" example here
[Korea Times, English version, 04/04/10 (So why Korean soldiers have to travel to Iraq??)] gives us a lot of ammunition for our struggle. Just we have to use it!
While the rally was finished peaceful the propaganda activities in Daehak-no were also finished, but four representatives of MSSC stayed there to join the rally for direct democracy. Even only around 100 people joined, the atmosphere was really nice. Kabir hold a speach and later together with Korean comrades he sung the Stop Crackdown Song - very beautiful!
And finally here you can read Samar¡¯s last letter sent from Nepal and here the part two of the video about our last struggle culture festival.
